Técnica de Preparação Biologicamente Orientada (BOPT) para prótese fixa e prótese suportada por implantes: Revisão Sistemática Integrativa.

Abstract

O conceito de preparação vertical de dentes sem linha de acabamento é aplicável às próteses fixas e próteses cimentadas sobre implantes. A utilização de implantes cónicos sem linha de acabamento permite deixar uma margem gengival na restauração protética (coroa) em vez de no pilar, permitindo ao clínico modelar os tecidos moles e fazer a margem gengival ao nível dos tecidos peri-implantares da mesma forma que as restaurações suportadas por dentes. O objetivo principal deste estudo é fazer uma revisão sistemática integrativa sobre a Técnica de Preparação Biologicamente Orientada (BOPT) para prótese fixa e prótese suportada por implantes. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliografica na PUBMED e Google Scholar. 19 artigos foram selecionados segundo os critérios de inclusão, previamente definidos. No final foram incluídos nesta revisão: 4 relatórios de casos, 7 estudos prospetivos, 3 estudo-piloto e 5 revisões sistemáticas. Os resultados mostraram que a técnica BOPT permite uma interação entre a preparação, a restauração e a gengiva, favorecendo um aumento de espessura da gengiva e permitindo também uma adaptação à nova forma da restauração.

The concept of vertical preparation of teeth without a finishing line is applicable to fixed prostheses and cemented fixed prostheses on implants. The use of tapered implants without a finishing line allows leaving a gingival margin on the prosthetic restoration (crown) instead of on the abutment, allowing the clinician to shape the soft tissues and make the gingival margin at the level of the peri-implant tissues in the same way as tooth-supported restorations. The main objective of this study is to perform an integrative systematic review on the Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique (BOPT) for fixed prosthesis and implant-supported prosthesis. A literature search was performed in PUBMED and Google Scholar. 19 articles were selected according to the previously defined inclusion criteria. In the end 4 case reports, 7 prospective studies, 3 pilot study and 5 systematic reviews were included in this review. The results showed that the BOPT technique allows an interaction between the preparation, the restoration and the gingiva, favouring an increase in gingiva thickness and also allowing an adaptation to the new restoration shape.
