Influência da técnica de impressão oral na adaptação marginal de próteses fixas: revisão integrativa

Abstract

Introdução: Na manufatura de uma restauração indireta, é necessário um modelo das estruturas orais, este modelo pode ser obtido com técnicas de impressão digital ou convencional. A técnica utilizada para a obtenção desses modelos bem como os materiais utilizados podem influenciar no resultado do trabalho restaurador.

Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão integrativa sobre a influência da técnica de impressão na adaptação marginal de restaurações dentais indiretas.

Metodologia: Através do Protocolo PRISMA e metodologia PICO foi realizada uma pesquisa através do PUBMED e EBSCO usando os seguintes termos: ("Dental Prosthesis") AND ("Dental impression technique" OR "Digital impression" OR "Conventional impression techniques"). Os critérios de inclusão envolveram artigos publicados no idioma inglês e português, de janeiro de 2011 até 31 de dezembro de 2021.

Resultados: A busca resultou em 750 artigos (124 da base de dados EBSCO e 626 da base de dados do PUBMED), que após removido os duplicados e inseridos no Mendeley® restaram 714 estudos para serem analisados pelo título e abstract, dos quais 8 foram excluídos por não atenderem aos critérios de idioma e 684 foram excluídos por não atenderem aos critérios para ser incluídos na análise de resultados, 16 foram selecionados e foram lidos na totalidade e foram todos incluídos nos resultados.

Conclusão: As diferentes técnicas de impressão dos tecidos orais durante a confeção de próteses fixas podem ter uma influência direta na desadaptação marginal, com a impressão digital apresentando valores de desadaptação marginal melhores que a impressão convencional, sem que haja, entretanto, uma diferença significativa entre as técnicas.

Introduction: In the manufacture of an indirect restoration, a model of the oral structures is necessary, this model can be obtained with digital or conventional impression techniques. The result of the restorative work can be influenced by the used impression technique nad materials.

Objective: To perform an integrative review on the influence of the impression technique on the marginal adaptation of indirect dental restorations.

Methodology: Using the PRISMA Protocol and PICO methodology, a search was conducted through PUBMED and EBSCO using the following terms: ("Dental Prosthesis") AND ("Dental impression technique" OR "Digital impression" OR "Conventional impression techniques"). Inclusion criteria involved articles published in English and Portuguese from January 2011 to December 31, 2021.

Results: The search in the databases resulted in 750 articles (124 from EBSCO database and 626 from PUBMED database), which after removing the duplicates and entering them into Mendeley®, 714 studies remained to be analyzed by title and abstract, of which 8 were excluded for not meeting the language criteria and 684 were excluded for not meeting the criteria to be included in the analysis of results, 16 were selected and read in full and all were included in the results of this study.

Conclusion: From the results found in this research, it was concluded that the different oral tissue impression techniques during the manufacture of fixed prostheses may have a direct influence on marginal misfit, with digital printing showing marginal misfit values than conventional impression, without, however, a significant difference between the techniques.
