Preparações minimamente invasivas para facetas laminadas em cerâmica no setor anterior.

Abstract

Introdução: As restaurações anteriores devem satisfazer critérios estéticos, funcionais e mecânicos exigentes, e as facetas laminadas em cerâmica surgiram como alternativas eficazes e menos invasivas às coroas completas. Contudo, são um desafio para os médicos dentistas, uma vez que o seu sucesso depende de vários fatores que podem influenciar a sobrevivência da restauração. Objetivo: O objetivo principal foi realizar uma revisão integrativa sobre “Preparações minimamente invasivas para facetas laminadas em cerâmica no setor anterior”. Material e método: Uma pesquisa eletrónica foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed com uma limitação de 10 anos com os Mesh terms: “Ceramics”, “Dental Veneers”, “Dental Porcelain”, “Computer Aided Design”, “Finite Element Analysis” e “Humans”. Resultados: A pesquisa identificou 54 estudos, dos quais 19 foram conservados para a criação deste trabalho. Discussão: Técnicas podem ser implementadas pelo profissional, tais como o protocolo DSD, IDS ou técnica APT, para assegurar o sucesso da restauração anterior com faceta. É também importante identificar os fatores ambientais do paciente que possam comprometer o sucesso da restauração, e de forma a serem controlados. Conclusões: É importante que o médico dentista respeite os pré-requisitos durante o tratamento e avise o doente dos riscos dos fatores ambientais, a fim de os limitar o mais possível e assegurar a melhor sobrevivência das facetas laminadas em cerâmica.

Introduction: Anterior restorations must meet demanding aesthetic, functional and mechanical criteria, and ceramic veneers have emerged as effective and less invasive alternatives to full crowns. However, they are a challenge for clinicians, since their success depends on several factors that can influence the survival of the restoration. Objectives: The main objective was to perform an integrative review on "Minimally invasive preparations for anterior sector ceramic laminated veneers". Material and Method: An electronic search was performed on PubMed databases that included articles published in the last 10 years, with Mesh terms “Ceramics”, “Dental Veneers”, “Dental Porcelain”, “Computer Aided Design”, “Finite Element Analysis” e “Humans”. Results: The search identified 54 studies, of which 19 were conserved for the creation of this work. Discussion: Techniques such as DSD protocol, IDS or APT technique can be implemented by the practician to ensure the success of the anterior restoration with a veneer. It is also important to identify the patient's environmental factors that may compromise the success of the restoration so that they can be controlled. Conclusion: It is important that the dentist respects these prerequisites during treatment and warns the patient of the risks of environmental factors in order to limit them as much as possible and ensure the best survival of the ceramic laminated veneers.
