Resultados clínicos da carga imediata vs. carga convencional em restaurações de implantes unitários

Abstract

Introdução: Convencionalmente, o protocolo para colocação de implantes realiza-se em duas fases durante um período de cicatrização dos tecidos de 3-6 meses, no qual em regra os pacientes ficam edêntulos. No entanto, as exigências de serem reabilitados o mais depressa possível estão em aumento. O conceito de carga imediata surgiu principalmente devido a este longo período de edentulismo. Consiste em após a colocação do implante, fazer o carregamento dentro das 48 horas seguintes. OBJETIVO: COMPARAR A EFICÁCIA DA CARGA IMEDIATA FRENTE A CARGA CONVENCIONAL EM PACIENTES REABILITADOS COM PRÓTESES IMPLANTO-SUPORTADAS UNITÁRIAS. Material e métodos: Foi realizada uma pesquisa na base de dados PubMed, usando os termos de pesquisa em infra descritos com várias combinações. A seleção dos artigos baseou-se nos critérios de inclusão e exclusão devidamente identificados. Resultados: Foram selecionados artigos escritos em inglês, publicados entre os anos 2014 e 2024, num total de 254 artigos, 17 foi o total final de artigos no qual se baseou este trabalho por possuírem os critérios de inclusão definidos. Discussão: Os resultados dos artigos analisados foram relativamente concordantes, no geral a carga imediata de implantes unitários não teve pior desempenho do que a carga convencional em todos os parâmetros analisados. Conclusões: QUANDO CORRETAMENTE INDICADA, O CARREGAMENTO IMEDIATO É UMA ABORDAGEM VIÁVEL, PREVISÍVEL E SEGURA PARA IMPLANTES UNITÁRIOS. ALÉM DE TRAZER BENEFÍCIOS PSICOLÓGICOS IMEDIATOS E SATISFAÇÃO ESTÉTICA E FUNCIONAL PARA O PACIENTE.

Introduction: Conventionally, the implant placement protocol is carried out in two phases during a tissue healing period of 3-6 months, during which patients are usually left edentulous. However, the need to be rehabilitated as quickly as possible is on the rise. The concept of immediate loading arose mainly because of this long period of edentulism. It consists of loading within 48 hours of implant placement. Objective: To compare the effectiveness of immediate loading with conventional loading in patients rehabilitated with single implant-supported prostheses. Material and methods: A search was carried out in the PubMed database using the search terms described below in various combinations. The selection of articles was based on duly identified inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Articles written in English and published between 2014 and 2024 were selected from a total of 254 articles, 17 of which were the final total of articles on which this study was based because they met the defined inclusion criteria. Discussion: The results of the articles analysed were relatively concordant; in general, immediate loading of single implants did not perform worse than conventional loading in all the parameters analysed. Conclusions: When correctly indicated, immediate loading is a viable, predictable and safe approach for single implants. It also brings immediate psychological benefits and aesthetic and functional satisfaction for the patient.
